The Son Rise

I woke up with the weirdest dream last night. I was hanging out with this kid and out of the blue he asked me this question:

“Why is it that some days i feel good about Jesus and some days i feel bad?”

It’s weird how I’m able to remember most of our conversation from last night as i look back into my dream.

A relationship with Jesus is not like any other relationship where if the other person isn’t making you feel good you can just end it. You don’t “break up” with Jesus if He isn’t making you “feel” good.

“…the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you.” Deuteronomy 31:6.

The most important thing to remember is: Jesus will never leave you. The Son of God will never leave you. Where we go, He goes. Not necessarily because He is following us, but because we are as a matter of fact, following Him. “In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.” Proverbs 16:9

It’s like the sun rise. Every morning the sun comes up, every morning, but only some of us choose to wake up and see it’s majestic beauty pierce the sky. Every morning, Jesus says, “I love you today, right now, forever, come to me.” But only some of us choose to wake up in awe of His grace and His beauty. You cannot hide the truth from yourself. If you minister to yourself only half of the gospel, you only understand half of Grace, half of what Jesus did for us. Full gospel, full repentance, all the time (God is Good). Jesus died for ALL of us, and all our sins and transgressions included, and He did it with all His love, not half of it.
